I think one of interesting ideas can be renovation of your basement. You can make here some place for everyone to chill out or have fun! Some ideas can be:
a homeschooling space,
a second (or third) living area,
an art studio or crafting area,
a home theater,
a guest room,
an additional living space for aging parents or young adults,
