Solar lights are standalone lighting fixtures that can operate without being connected to a power system. Daytime sunlight is absorbed by solar panels, which then transform it into electricity. Batteries within solar lights store the electricity needed to turn on the LED at dusk. Traditional solar lights frequently use lead acid batteries, however current solar lights prefer to use lithium-ion or LiFePO4 batteries.
