No. Giving any human medication to an animal is never a good idea, and dogs are not thought to be safe when given human medications. Ibuprofen is especially strong in dogs compared to humans, and even at modest doses, it may result in serious intestinal ulcers and renal damage. Call your veterinarian right away if you think your dog may have swallowed medication designed for people. Consult your physician for the best pain medication for pets.
