Hi everyone, I’m currently looking into some options for my old man who’s finding it a bit tough to live on his own lately. We’re based around the Manningham area and really want to find somewhere local so the grandkids can pop in easily after school. He’s quite keen on having some greenery around him as he’s been a bit of a green thumb his whole life. Does anyone have any personal experiences or recommendations for decent aged care facilities around Donvale or the surrounding Eastern suburbs? Quality of care is obviously the top priority, but a nice atmosphere is a close second. Cheers!

It’s a tough transition, mate, but finding the right spot makes a world of difference. My aunt moved into a place recently that might be exactly what you're after. Have a look at Donvale Gardens It’s located right in the heart of Donvale and, as the name suggests, the outdoor spaces and gardens are actually really lovely and well-maintained. The staff there seem genuinely caring and they have a pretty solid reputation in the local community for being attentive. It doesn't have that "clinical" hospital feel that some of the bigger chains have, which was a big plus for our family. Definitely worth booking a tour to see the grounds for yourself.
